These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by ProLingua Notary LLC ("we," "our," or "us"), including notarial acts, certified translations, and related document services. By requesting or using our services, or by booking an appointment, you agree to these Terms.

1. Services We Provide

We offer notary public services, remote online notarization (RON), certified translations, and related document assistance in the State of New Jersey and, where permitted, online. The scope of any engagement is limited to the specific service you request.

2. We Are Not Attorneys

We are not attorneys licensed to practice law and may not give legal advice about immigration or any other legal matter, or accept fees for legal advice. Notarization certifies the identity of the signer and the act of signing — it does not validate the content, accuracy, or legality of a document.

3. Your Responsibilities

You agree to provide valid, government-issued photo identification and complete, accurate information. You are responsible for ensuring that any document you ask us to notarize or translate is genuine and that you have the authority to act on it.

4. Appointments, Cancellations, and Rescheduling

Appointments are confirmed by email, usually the same day. Please notify us as early as possible to cancel or reschedule. Mobile and rush services are subject to availability and may incur additional fees.

5. Fees and Payment

Fees shown on our website are starting rates. Final pricing depends on the document type, languages, and turnaround, and is confirmed before work begins. Travel, mailing, postage, and rush services may be charged separately. Payment is due as agreed at the time of service.

6. Certified Translations

Certified translations include a signed certificate of accuracy attesting that the translation is accurate to the best of our ability based on the source document you provide. We are not responsible for errors arising from illegible, incomplete, or altered source documents, or for the acceptance of any document by a third party, court, or agency.

7. Right to Refuse Service

We may decline or stop a notarization or service if we cannot verify identity, if the signer does not appear to understand the document or to be acting willingly, if we suspect fraud or illegality, or for any other reason permitted by law.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of our services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service in question. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

9. Privacy

Your use of our services is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and protect your information.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes take effect when posted on this page. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of New Jersey, without regard to its conflict-of-laws principles.
